Membership

 

 

As a sailing member of WASH you may come sailing on any of the days on the WASH Programme. You may  make as many regular (weekly, monthly) or ad hoc bookings as you require for the season. As your sailing skills develop you may also take part in the Sunday races with SESCA (St Edmundsbury Sailing and Canoeing Association) as WASH is a group member of SESCA but you will need to book the boat and arrange to rig and launch it with the aid of your own friends and family.

WASH Annual Membership fee only £15.00

We would ask you to give us as much notification as possible if you are unable to come to a session. If you cancel on the day please ring the sailing club on 01284 728850 but this phone will only be answered on Tuesdays 9.30am - 4pm, Thursdays 9.30am - 1pm and Saturdays 10am - 4pm and only if someone is within earshot. We will contact you if it is necessary to cancel your session due to lack of volunteers or weather.

We are likely to cancel if the forecast for Mildenhall is for heavy rain or wind above 16 knots.by clicking on this link  euro weather which gives the local forecast

There will be a small charge of £5 per session, this can be paid on the day

Sailability offer Certificates of Achievement in Sailing which we hope to present to our members at the end of the season. There is a choice of 17 challenges. Completion of 4 = Bronze, 8 = Silver, 12 = Gold.  There is also Platinum level which includes racing and the rules specific to competition. If you wish to take part please ask for more information.
